Habib Homayoun received his B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. degrees from the University Of Portland in 1980 and 1981. He worked for a major medical electronics manufacturer for 19 years, and was the principal contributor to the company's position as a world leader in the field of arrhythmia monitoring. He is the founder and President of Silicon Magic Inc.

Habib has managed many projects, and has been the principal hardware/software engineer on most of the same projects. He is experienced in all phases of product development from market research to project scheduling, staffing, budgeting, project team management, research, hardware/software design, product and design validation, product introduction, and regulatory agencies' (including FDA, ISO, and UL) approvals. His work has shown a high degree of originality and creativeness  in inventing, designing, and creating new ideas, theories, and products. He has several US Patents: 5613495, D377983, 5351695, 5333616, 5317269, 4977899, 5111396, 5012814, 4958641, D341659, 5289824.

Habib has made significant contribution in miniaturization of patient monitoring devices, which involved Mixed Signal, low power/voltage ASIC designs. He has designed several Mixed Signal ASICS in the past 10 years.

Habib's capabilities other than ASIC design are: Developing embedded microprocessor based products using Intel, Motorola, NEC, TI, Mitsubishi, etc. microprocessors/DSP-chips, and designing analog and digital circuitry for picking up small signals, amplifying, digitizing, filtering using analog and DSP techniques, and transmitting those signals over telephone lines. He is also experienced in real-time software design using C, Pascal, Fortran, Basic, Assembly Language for Intel, Motorola, TI, NEC, Zilog, Mitsubishi, etc. processors and DSP chips.
